About the role
A Digital Marketing Specialist plans, runs and improves online campaigns that bring in customers. On a normal day this means setting up and tuning ads on Google, Meta and LinkedIn, writing and testing ad copy, building email journeys, checking landing pages and reading dashboards to see what is working.
The job is part creative and part numbers. You need to understand the customer and the message, but you also need to read metrics like CTR, conversion rate, CPA, ROAS and customer acquisition cost, and decide where the next rupee of budget should go. Good specialists connect marketing numbers to real business results such as qualified leads, revenue and profit, not just clicks and likes.
In 2026 the role also means working with privacy rules and consent, first-party data, AI-driven ad platforms and imperfect attribution. Specialists who can design clean tests, explain results simply and work well with sales, product and design teams grow quickly into senior and growth roles.
