easySales Executive interview question
Why do you want to work in sales?
What the interviewer wants to hear
- Genuine interest in helping customers solve problems
- Motivation from targets and measurable results
- Comfort with rejection and resilience
- Example from past experience that shows fit
Model answer
I enjoy talking to people and understanding their problems, and sales lets me turn that into clear results. I like that performance is measurable: you know every month whether you hit your target, and that motivates me. During college I sold event sponsorships and learned that most people say no at first, so resilience and good follow-up matter. I also learned that when you really understand what a customer needs, selling feels like helping rather than pushing. I want a role where I can build relationships, keep learning about products and industries, and grow my income based on my own effort and results.
