easySales Executive interview question
Walk me through the main stages of a typical B2B sales process.
What the interviewer wants to hear
- Prospecting and lead generation
- Qualification and discovery
- Demo or presentation of the solution
- Proposal and negotiation
- Closing and handover to onboarding
Model answer
It usually starts with prospecting, where I find and contact potential customers through calls, email, LinkedIn or inbound leads. Next is qualification and discovery: I check if there is a real need, budget, the right decision makers and a timeline, and I learn about their pain. Then I show a demo or presentation tailored to the problems I found. After that I send a proposal and handle negotiation on price and terms, often with procurement. Finally I close the deal, get the contract signed and hand the customer over to onboarding or customer success with clear notes, so the customer has a smooth start.
