Model answer
For me, closing is the natural result of good work earlier in the process. If discovery found a real problem and the buyer agrees on the value, the close is just confirming the decision. Along the way I use trial closes, like "How does this compare with what you need?", to check alignment and bring up concerns early. For bigger deals I build a mutual action plan with the buyer, working back from their go-live date, so the timeline is theirs, not mine. When we reach the end, I ask directly and confidently: "Based on everything we have covered, are you ready to move ahead?" If they hesitate, I ask what is holding them back. Clear questions are not pushy; pressure comes from fake deadlines and ignoring concerns.
