You are working on five projects at the same time with different deadlines. How do you manage them?
What the interviewer wants to hear
- List all tasks with deadlines and effort
- Prioritise by deadline and impact
- Use templates and reusable assets to save time
- Communicate early if deadlines are at risk
Model answer
I keep all my work in one place, usually a task board like Trello or Asana, with every deliverable, deadline and an estimate of effort. Each morning I review it and plan the day, focusing on what is due soonest and what has the biggest impact. I block focused time for deep creative work, and I group small tasks like resizing or exports together. To save time, I build reusable templates, components and asset libraries, which helps a lot with repeat clients. If I see that two deadlines clash, I tell my manager or the client early and suggest options, like delivering one part first. I never wait until the last day to say something is late. Clear communication is as important as working fast.
