Model answer
Before I contact them, I review everything: sales notes, the contract, support tickets, usage data and any previous CSM notes, so they do not have to repeat themselves. In the first meeting I focus on them: what they bought the product for, how they measure success and what has worked or frustrated them so far. I ask who else I should meet, such as the executive sponsor and key users, and set up those introductions. Then I look for a quick win, like fixing a long-standing issue or setting up a useful report, because early action builds trust faster than words. I agree a regular rhythm of check-ins and follow every meeting with a short recap. Keeping small promises consistently is what makes the relationship strong.
