Model answer
At my last company I launched a Meta campaign for a premium skincare range with Rs 3 lakh in the first month. CTR was good, but ROAS was 1.2x against a target of 3x. I had assumed our broad female 25 to 45 audience would respond to discount-led creatives. When I dug in, the people buying were mostly 30 to 45 and responded to ingredient education, not discounts, while discounts brought one-time buyers with high return rates. My mistake was scaling before testing messages. I paused the scale-up, ran a structured creative test with three angles on a small budget, and rebuilt the campaign around the education angle with a quiz landing page. Within six weeks ROAS reached 3.4x. Since then I always run a test phase with a clear hypothesis before committing large budget.
