HRA exemption in a non-metro city
Under old-regime rules, exempt HRA is the lowest of: actual HRA, rent paid minus 10% of basic, and 40% of basic for a non-metro city. Monthly basic is 30,000, HRA is 15,000 and rent paid is 12,000. What is the monthly exempt HRA?
